NE5 Estates and Construction

The NE5 Estates Category Group manages collaborative Estates and Construction based procurement activity for five Universities based in the North-East of England. 

The NE5 institutions are: Durham University - Newcastle University - Northumbria University - University of Sunderland and Teesside University.

The subsidiaries of these Universities can also access NE5 framework solutions and where specified some frameworks are also available to NCG and other NEUPC Members. 

The category areas focussed on are:

• Minor, Medium and Major Works - NEW Minor Works Framework (for schemes under £1m ex vat) went Live on 14/10/24
• Telephone and Data Cabling - Goes live on 1st January 2025
• Construction and Conservation Professional Services - NEW services available from February 2025 (Project Management, Fire Safety, M&E Engineers, Building Surveyors, Conservation Architects and much more)
• M&E Services
• Redecoration
• Renewable Energy Solutions (coming 2025)
• Heritage and Conservation Works (coming mid 2025)
