NEUPC is the contracting authority for the sector’s £280m four-year inter-regional Furniture framework agreement, and also leads a joint consortia contracting group for the Furniture category.
The NEUPC Furniture Group has a strategy in place to effectively manage an annual category spend of £12m of NEUPC member spend through framework agreements
Office furniture is the largest spend area, and 100% of NEUPC members have used the Furniture framework to call off their contracts. Additionally, the Group has influenced the introduction of framework agreements for more discreet categories of furniture, such as auditorium seating, and furniture for library, laboratory and residential environments
Group members are influential in the development, tender and management of framework agreements for Removals and Relocations Services, Floor Coverings, Residential Textiles and White Goods.
Key to the work of the Group is enhancing value for money through framework management. Group members participate in round table events that bring together manufacturers, dealers and end users, with a view to improving collaborative practice for mutual benefit. The Group receives presentations from the supply market introducing innovative products, ideas and processes.
