UKUPC MODERN SLAVERY SERIES

To mark Anti-slavery week (17 – 23 October), UKUPC’s Responsible Procurement Network has developed five short videos to help raise awareness of the importance of eradicating Modern Slavery from society. As a sector we can play a major part of this movement through our commitment to our institutions legal and moral obligations and exploring what we can do to protect those most at risk across UKUPC’s membership, our students, our work force and throughout our domestic and global supply chains.

Presented by Marisol Bernal Responsible Procurement Lead at LUPC and Sarah Dye Operational Procurement Manager and lead for Sustainability for NWUPC, the videos are just over 4 minutes in length, and are intended to help explore how you can share your commitment to combatting modern slavery and to help educate and inform others.

UKUPC is a partnership between eight UK consortia (APUC, HEPCW, LUPC, NEUPC, NWUPC, SUPC, TEC and TUCO) who created a formal entity to support collaborative procurement within Higher and Further Education. We work together to share knowledge and best practice, to support each other and our wider procurement community.
