Molecular Biology Research Services framework now live

NEUPC are pleased to announce the launch of the brand-new Molecular Biology Research Services framework agreement, which is available to all members of NEUPC, NWUPC, LUPC, SUPC, HEPCW and APUC.


The scope of the framework is for the provision of a range of Molecular Biology Research Services (MBRS) required for Higher Education environments, and is split into 5 lots as follows;

  • Next Generation Sequencing Services
  • Sanger Sequencing Services
  • Genotyping Services
  • DNA/RNA Extraction Services
  • Oligonucleotides


Full details of the scope of each lot can be found in the Buyers Guide on HE Contracts.  There are 10 suppliers in total, and each lot is ranked as follows:


Members can call off from the agreement either by using the ranking, or by undertaking a mini-competition.


The framework was awarded on 6th March 2019 for an initial period of two years, with the option to extend for up to two 12 month periods.
