25 Years of TEC Energy & Education Connected

TEC's free CPD Accredited Energy and Education conference takes place on Thursday 5th of December in Birmingham and as well as innovation areas featuring EDF Energy, Corona Energy, Mitie and AUDE, TEC also have a jam-packed speaker line-up.

TEC are excited to share how they are collaboratively working with Universities and Colleges to protect the public purse and deliver cost reduction and sustainable energy solutions. This CPD accredited event will be a great opportunity to network and learn with fellow Institutions, energy suppliers and the TEC team.

The event will kick off with a special guest introducing our MD Richard Murphy. Following on will be energy expert and Non Exec Chair Jo Butlin talking about disruption and changes to the Energy industry over the last twenty-five years.

TEC are excited to have Tom Palmer independent expert from Cornwall Insight taking members through potential changes to regulation, policy and supply markets and how these will impact institution estates on energy challenges such as "Private Wire" and "Demand Side Response".

Energy prices are becomingly increasingly linked to weather conditions and we've got Georg Mueller, Meteorologist from Reuters Refinitiv taking us through the "Predictability of hot and cold snaps related to Climate Change". Exactly, how do you go about forecasting these events as they become increasingly common?

With GEN Z expected to form nearly a quarter of the global workforce by 2020 and that the Economist called "Stressed, depressed and exam obsessed", what do you need to know about connecting, communicating and engaging with them (beyond admissions) and how are they influencing the HE Sector?

Afternoon sessions:

In association with TEC members and supported by the following: JRP Consulting, Schneider, Ramboll, Ongen and kWIQly. Workshop sessions will include; Behavioural Change, BMS Optimisation, District Heat Networks, Implementing Renewable Energy Technology and AMR DNA Gas and Electricity Analytics.

The afternoon workshop sessions will run as two distinct blocks with a refreshment break in between. You’ll be offered a choice of two sessions (closer to the day) to attend from the five below, so invite a colleague along to ensure you don’t miss anything!
