Congratulations to our seven NEUPC members and an affiliate NEUPC member who have been shortlisted as finalists of this year’s Green Gown Awards UK & Ireland and includes Durham University, Nottingham Trent University, The University of Sheffield, University of Bradford, University of Derby, University of Leicester, York St John University and De Montfort University

The Green Gown Awards recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the world. The winners will be announced on 8 November 2022 at a prestigious awards ceremony held at Loughborough University.

Commenting on the Finalists:

The seven NEUPC members and affiliate member finalists have been shortlisted for the following Categories:

  • Benefiting Society Category* - University of Derby – DE-Carbonise
  • Build Back Better Category - Durham University – Enactus Durham – The Ugly Fruit Group and
  • Build Back Better Category - The University of Sheffield – State of the art stainless milk churns
  • Build Back Better Category - De Montfort University  - DMU Global Online Learning, Campus Health, Food and Drink
  • Campus Health, Food and Drink Category - Durham University – Enactus Durham – The Ugly Fruit Group 
  • Campus Health, Food and Drink Category- The University of Sheffield – State of the art stainless milk churns
  • Student Engagement Category* - Durham University – Greensapce Movement – Together we can make a difference 
  • Student Engagement Category* - University of Leicester – Earth to Leicester Law School 
  • Tomorrow's Employees Category - Nottingham Trent University – Enhancing graduate employability through embracing sustainability 
  • Tomorrow's Employees Category - University of Leicester – Upskilling students to support Innovation for Good
