NEUPC Annual Report 2020/21

2020-21 NEUPC Annual Report

It is with pleasure to share the NEUPC Annual Report for 2020/21 with you.

Despite the continued challenges of the pandemic, we continued to operate normally and maintained our contracting programme, retendering four and awarding two new frameworks.

In addition to creating savings through the use of frameworks, a number of our agreements including the highly successful Audio Visual and National Furniture Frameworks, provide the potential for members to earn rebates. Through the use of NEUPC agreements, UKUPC consortia members will collectively receive £426k worth of supplier rebates, of which £93k will be paid to NEUPC members.

In collaboration with the UK University Purchasing Consortia (UKUPC), we also supported our members by monitoring and reporting on supply chain shortages brought about by Brexit and COVID, sharing market intelligence to ensure universities were aware and pre-warned of shortages.

The year ahead promises to be another challenging year. We will work closely with our members and suppliers across all categories of expenditure to identify further opportunities to deliver efficiencies. We will continue to work and consult with members regarding proposed changes to the procurement regulations, and identify training needs due to any changes in legislation or government guidance.

We would like to thank our members, suppliers and NEUPC team for their ongoing support, we look forward to working and supporting you throughout 2022 and beyond.
